About Us
Two years ago, Weronika Sioda decided to organize a chess tournament for her friends attending the top 8 high schools in Warsaw. The idea resonated so strongly with everyone that we ultimately decided to turn OakChess into a reality, attracting as many as 500 participants in its first edition.
This year, we decided to broaden our horizons by organizing an international tournament for students from Poland, the UK, and the US.
Our Goal: popularise chess among teens worldwide, and provide them with an opportunity to make new contacts.

Every year, we ensure that participants of the Oak Chess Tournament receive amazing prizes for their efforts and achievements.
This year Oak Chess Players will receive $2,500.
In this edition, 150 players will be awarded prizes, with the top player receiving $250.
This year, we secured partnerships with PZS, BrainAce.pro, and SH and MSCDN.
The 2025 edition will be funded by Allegro, SwipeU, MSCDN, Batory Rada Rodziców, Kopernik Rada Rodziców, BNP Paribas, BrainAce.pro, Warsaw City Fund, HighSchool.exam.
